- Prerequisite Tool: Survival Multitool (crafted at the Fabricator using 3x Titanium).
- Primary Location: The cave system located directly underneath your starting Lifepod. Look for a circular, vertical sinkhole in the sandy floor.

Step-by-Step Route: The Lifepod Caves
The safest and most abundant early-game location is the cave network directly beneath your starting area.
- Craft the Survival Multitool: Collect 3x Titanium from the seabed, return to your Fabricator, and craft the Multitool.
- Locate the Sinkhole: Swim directly underneath your Lifepod. Search the sandy bottom for a large vertical crevice leading downwards.
- Enter the Cave: Dive into the hole. Watch your oxygen; use the glowing blue Oxygen Tunic plants inside the tunnels to replenish your air.
- Find the Acid Raions: Scan the cave walls and floors. You will spot bright purple, brain-shaped plants with glowing green centers.
- Harvest the Pouches: Equip your Multitool and strike the purple outer chambers. Each plant yields up to 3x Acidic Raion Pouches.
Safety First: The Harvesting Trick
Each Acid Raion consists of two harvestable parts: Acidic Raion Pouches (purple chambers on the outside) and a Medical Gel Sac (the neon-green center stem).
CAUTION
Do not pluck the green Medical Gel Sac first! If you harvest the center Gel Sac while any purple pouches remain, the plant will rupture and release a noxious acid cloud, causing heavy damage to your health.
Safe Harvesting Order:
- Equip your Survival Multitool.
- Strike and collect the 3 purple Acidic Raion Pouches from the sides.
- Once the pouches are cleared, approach the plant and pick the central Medical Gel Sac by hand.
- Note: Both parts will regrow over time, allowing you to return to the same caves to farm them.
